In food retail, the difference between profit and loss is often shaped by fixed-cost control, and energy is one of the most significant items in the operating budget. Food retail requires constant energy use: refrigerated display units, HVAC systems, extensive lighting, and extended daily operating hours. For Oblio in Târgu Mureș, the 219 kWp photovoltaic system was designed to support this high-consumption profile. In-house energy production helps optimize costs and improve budget predictability in a sector with tightly managed margins and strong competition.
